Want a novel way to get acquainted with your cards, figure out your best ‘clairs’ and learn the Tarot all at the same time? Try this game and you might be surprised at the results!
You’re going to need an honest friend and your favourite deck(s) for this awesome card game.
I present to you: Intuitive Hide-n-Seek!
One of the many problems people have when learning the Tarot or trying to develop and get to know the natural intuitive gifts and tendencies is staying interested in exercises and repetitive practices and breaking themselves of ‘the book’. Coming from someone with the attention span of a squirrel due to being a Scanner, I totally feel your pain on both fronts and fun/interesting games and exercises (and simply doing, but I’ll get to that on another post) have helped greatly in speeding up the learning process for me, and hopefully it will for you as well.
For this game you’re going to need your favourite deck(s), a friend who doesn’t think you’re nuts, a pad of paper and a pen or your Tarot journal to record your impressions as well as your results.
To begin, decide upon the room you’re going to be working in and the cards you’re going to be using (the entire deck/suit(s)/Major, Minor, Courts). Take a moment to make sure you’re hydrated and take 10-15 minutes to meditate and visualise clearing out and opening up your chakras/awareness while your friend selects 2-4 cards to place about the room.
Now, the point of this exercise is not only to get an understanding of what type of impressions each card gives you, but to figure out which ‘clairs’ are the strongest in terms of how you receive intuitive information. In care you’re unfamiliar with these senses, I have provided a table below:
When I move and get settled in I want to try this.
Please excuse my holyshitthisisinsane fangirl moment while I fangirl all over being reblogged. Ohmygod. No words. - Samm
DANIELLE!!!! Wanna play?
This is a GREAT exercise. I’m probably bringing this up at my next tarot meeting to try with my buds.
